Public Relations Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak, Opare Addo has stated the club is disappointed in the injunction placed on the commencement of the Ghana Premier League.

The Premier League which was supposed to start on 11th February has been postponed until further notice after Accra Great Olympics went to court to establish their displeasure on a ruling against an unqualified Bechem United player in the course of last season.

According to Opare Addo, the injunction affects the club’s plans and preparations towards the start of the season.

“I am disappointed, we are very much disappointed because the level at which the teams have prepared , or let me use Hearts as example, where the level we prepared to, we were eagerly expecting the league to start on Sunday but to be told it’s not coming on at the last minute is sad,” he said.

“This means the work of the Coaches will have to be stalled, they will have to reverse their work and continue with another form of strategy,” he added.

“Nobody knows when it will be back and that is negative for us. This shows there is something wrong with the legal system.”

Accra Hearts of Oak finished third last season and were runners up in the MTN FA Cup last season.
