The board and management members of Real Tamale United (RTU) Football Club on Thursday, 19 April 2018, paid a courtesy call on Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia at the Jubilee House to discuss matters relating to the club.
Dr Bawumia described the current situation of his “beloved” club as worrying.
He called on supporters to put in place the right measures to redeem the club’s glorious past as the "pride of the north".
The performance of RTU, a once formidable force in the Ghana Premier League (GPL), has taken a nosedive for a period now.
The Tamale-based club is currently competing in the GN Bank Division One League, after being relegated to the second tier in the 2013–14 Ghana football league season.
