The Black Star's limited game time for the Anatolian Star has resulted in a slash in remuneration.
Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has accepted a pay cut to continue his career with Turkish side Kayserispor.

The forward joined the Anatolian Star in summer last year, signing a two-year deal.

His limited action for the club last season has, however, warranted a change to his remuneration.

"Asamoah Gyan, as is known, did not get the chance to play regularly and contribute to the team due to injury, ill-luck and other technical reasons," Kayserispor sporting director Erol Bedir said, as reported by Skorer.

"Our contract, which is a [two] year contract continues.

"So regardless of his performance, there is a guaranteed price to be awarded in this year, as in the case of other players.

"The player, who is not happy with his performance last season, is on vacation.

"He has been in constant contact with us, signing a new contract with his own volition and willingness.

"According to this new bill, Gyan reduced his warranty fee by 50-60 per cent."

Gyan made 12 league appearances involving just three starts for Kayserispor in his first season.

He netted his lone goal in a 3-3 draw with Fenerbahce last October.

Although his number of games in the Turkish Cup does not look any impressive, his goal tally does look good.

The 32-year-old scored three times in five matches involving three starts.
