Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed wants former Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi to be given another opportunity by government to lead the association.
Nyantakyi, 49, has resigned from his positions on all football organisations including Fifa council, after he was captured on camera by undercover journalists in a documentary that was aired across the country recently.
“If I were to be the president of Ghana, I would've given Kwesi Nyantakyi a second chance to lead Ghana FA despite his recent troubles,” Yahaya told Silver FM.
“He will have to just apologise and promise not to repeat such behaviours again.
“I strongly believe that it will be wrong to use only this issue to judge him especially looking at what he has done for Ghana football. Under his leadership, he was able to change the face of Ghana football and has taken the country to three separate World Cup tournaments," he said.
“Some people have personal hatred against him and have succeeded in making him a villain. We should cast our minds back and see the transformations he has brought and give him a second chance to correct the wrongs,” he added.

We live in a country where when people commit various crimes and offences, we run to religious, traditional and political leaders to intervene on our behalf. The case will be played around like soccer among kids, and in the long run, the case becomes "fooolish". We're always telling people to be forgiven and given a second, third, fourth chance, but we do forget that such public figures swear an oath to serve the country in a transparent manner, without corruption and bribery or nepotism. They know the consequences of their actions in office, but they take Ghanaians for granted and do all sorts of unacceptable things in office. If someone falters in his/her office, let the law take its course and the person take the fall for it, no begging, no pardoning and given second, third, fourth chances. People must be made to take responsibility for their actions and face the consequences thereof, until we do this, Ghana will continue to crawl and be a spectacle on the African continent.
Herr Yahya gyae ***barred word*** no keka. These are the ***barred word*** behavior we've been doing and the country is sinking. Nsem foakwa
Mohamed, your very ***barred word*** oak,He can be given a second chance to be your father but not GFA,***barred word*** man
No way no way... NEVER will Nyantakyi come back....one man no chop... He is just too greedy... He has made so much money at the FA.....
NO WAY, Yahaya! Corruption babies like Yahaya!
@Yahaya stop politics and talk sense.Does football put food on our table?Yahaya the footballer has talk sense in stead of you to analyse and make sense out of that you're writing t'rash. If i were Akuffo Addo i will allow football people to solve their own issue and concentrate on how to execute the 1D1F.We have a dossier how ANAS carry's his dubious investigation and very soon OUR DUBAI PARTNERS will H'IT him hard and those dubious people behind his so called E'VIL INVESTIGATION. He should be ready we will not let him self.
Yahaya M, pls did you think b4 you talked about this issue? Look at your face... look at your teeth? Yes, nipa foooo na oka nsem fooo ampa. If you have benefited from his dirty deals, go chop your booty and leave Ghanaians alone. If this matter is not investigated to the bottom, I bet you, NPP will loose the 2020 election. nk,wasiasem
What's wrong with this guys? Have u in a way not thinking straight nd so don't understand what is going on. Pls go training nd think about yourself.Did he ask u to come intervene for him?
Somebody will say FOR THE WHERE. FATHER FORGIVE HIM AS HE DOESN'T WHAT HE IS SAYING. My friend go and urinate then go to bed.
I think this guy has said something good. Let us not look at what has happened and crucify Nyantekyi but let us consider the success he has chocjed for Ghana soccer {Three times Black Stars qualified for the World cup and the U-20 World cup champions]. I understand he was greedy not to have relinquished his post as a GFA president but we can still forgive him. Anas acted on perceived corruption in GFA but he failed to record natural cases. Apparently, Anas and Tiger PI used "Kwaku Ananse" and "Ntikuma" tricks to soil their name. GFA president/WAFU President-CAF Vice/Member of FIFA shows that he is a hardworking man couple with experience in soccer. Blackman does not want black man to climb the tree to the top therefore pull him down "abro ne bayie" started. as a member of FIFA Ghana and Africa will have benefitted but the African colonial mentality will not allow him.
