Ghana FA Approach Cameroon For Black Stars Friendly Next Month

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) have written to their Cameroonian counterparts for a friendly next month, Ghanasoccernet.com can reveal.

The Normalisation Committee wants the Black Stars to play match during the next FIFA break as preparation towards the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in June.

The stand-in GFA wants to splash $25,000 as appearance fees for the Cameroon in a bid to entice them to accept the proposal to play the game in the Ghanaian capital.

The Ghana FA wants the friendly match to be played in Accra after the final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya even though the two sides have qualified for the tournament in Egypt.

Despite claiming that it is short of fund the Normalisation Committee says it are ready to cover all expenses for Cameroon as it seeks to give the Black Stars the best preparation.

The Cameroon Football Federation is yet to react to the request by the Ghana Football Association.

The GFA has promised cover the expenses of the Cameroon delegation as well as pay the African Champions 25 thousand dollars.

The Cameroon Football Federation declined to comment on the offer from coach Kwesi Appiah's side.

Cameroon are focused on next month’s crucial 2019 Afcon qualifier against Comoros in Yaounde.
