Asante Kotoko head trainer Kjetil Zachariassen has promised to scale over the Kano Pillars hurdle in their return leg fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium next week.
Kotoko bowed 3-2 to the Nigerian side after taking a 2-1 second half lead in their CAF Champions League opening game four days ago.
And the Norwegian tactician believes having identified what accounted for their defeat in the first leg, his side is bent on progressing to the next stage.
As a result, he has praised his side despite the 2-3 to Kano Pillars, saying, “I am highly elated with my team’s performance because one thing here is that we played against a good team and we scored two important away goals which will be very important for us.”
He added, “I must also commend my players for sticking to my game plan which worked very well. We will correct our mistakes before the return leg in Kumasi.”
On August 25, Kotoko will host Kano Pillars in Kumasi for the second leg fixture.

So you made mistakes? I thought only CK made mistakes???!!
Kotoko will continue to Concede Cheap goals as long as they continue to play their archaic style of soccer which is Erratic and Unorganized soccer. Kotoko's defence is constantly under siege or attack because they don't know how to hold on to the ball or play simple passes. From the goalkeeper Felix Annan to the mid-field players everyone of them don't know possession football. Kotoko players have the habit of kicking the ball into the opponents half senselessly instead of holding on to the ball or making short passes which is modern football. This senseless style of play has been the bane of the team from CK Akunnor and it's showing itself with the new coach. If Kotoko start playing beautiful Possession football, the constant pressure on their defence that leads to ***barred word*** goals against the team will reduce dramatically!
i belive the team will qualify
