A 34-year-old phone repairer has been beaten up by two soldiers for misplacing a mobile phone.

The soldiers, according to Class News’ regional correspondent William Jalula, repeatedly punched Nashiru Yahaya, a resident of Sawaba, a community close to the Bolgatanga police station, in the eyes until they turned bloody. The punishment was for allegedly losing a phone he was asked to unlock.
