Indomie Says “All The Best” To The Spelling Bee Finalists

De United Foods Industries Ltd (DUFIL), the brand owners of Indomie has congratulated the finalists of 2018’s national Spelling Bee contest and wished them well, ahead of the gruelling encounter on Saturday, February 3, in Accra. Some 197 spellers from different schools in Ghana will gather to contest. The winner will represent Ghana at Scripps Spelling Bee competition to be held at USA. Ahead of the contest, Mahesh Shah, general manager, DUFIL has urged young men and women to put up their best and exhibit talent. He congratulated them for making it to the national finals and encouraged them to make the best of the rare opportunity. Indomie instant noodles has been a major sponsor of the spelling competition since its inception in Ghana over a decade ago, because it is in line with the values of the brand, which is to support the holistic development of young people. Mr. Shah noted that the skills and knowledge acquired by the children through participation in the contest is enormous and will remain an asset that they will cherish throughout life. He, therefore, encouraged parents to support their children to enrol in the competition as a way of preparing them for a great future. Mr. Shah also commended the Young Educators Foundation for successfully running the programme over the years and expanding it to many schools in different parts of the country. He said Indomie will continue to support them to pursue the worthy agenda. Two years ago, Ghana had produced a finalist at the contest in the US. Mr. Shah is hopeful that whoever wins the weekend’s contest will become another great ambassador of Ghana in the international contest. “Ahead of the national finals, the spellers will take vocabulary test, go to movies and spend a day at the park to socialise and will be feted by Indomie during all these other activities,” informed Belo Cida Haruna, Marketing Manager.
