The incumbent Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Abdul-Fatawu Bugri Naabu has been dethroned by a business mogul, Mr. Mohammed Baatima Samba.
Mr. Samba beat him with 312 votes as against 116 votes obtained by Mr. Naabu at the Northern Regional delegates conference on Saturday.
