The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie (Sir John), has said that the ruling NDC will fail in its attempt to belittle the NPP�s gargantuan rally held at Mantse Agboena, James Town in Accra. The National Democratic Congress will this Saturday hold what it calls a �Mammoth Rally� at the same venue. According to the party, the rally is aimed at celebrating the achievements of the NDC�s �Better Ghana Agenda�. The parliamentary candidates in the Greater Accra region will also be outdoored at the rally. Speaking in an interview with Citi News, Mr. Afriyie said the NDC�s choice of Mantse Agboena is to paint the wrong picture to the world. He said: �They (NDC) can even go to Tamale and bring a lot of people, bus them and bring them there under the guise that they are from Mantse Agboena, so for us knowing who they are and what they can do, the numbers would not surprise anybody.� Sir John added: �If they intend to do that, if they want to do that, if they want to beat their own drums and dance to it, that is a matter for them but that would not assist them in anyway whatsoever because they would be defeated in the election.�
