Gabby Defends Kofi Adams; I've Never Had This Conversation With Him

The Executive Director of the Danquah Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, has jumped to the defense of the spokesperson of the Rawlingses, Kofi Adams, who has been fingered in an alleged plot to run down the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Kofi Adams, who is also a deputy General Secretary of the ruling party, was reported by Tuesdays edition of the Ghanaian Lens to have vowed to ensure that the ruling NDC loses the presidential polls. This was revealed in an alleged phone conversation he had with Mr. Otchere-Darko, after the NDC Sunyani Congress held last year, where Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, lost the partys presidential slot to President John Mills. The leaked tape which had a voice supposedly that of Mr. Adams, said Atta Mills is not a person going to be president of this country after he finishes with his first term. Whatever it takes for him to go to opposition well do it. In a text message to Citi News, Mr. Otchere-Darko denied reports that the voice in the said conversation was that of Mr. Adams, adding that although he has spoken severally to the deputy NDC scribe, the latter has never said anything about sending President Mills into opposition. The Publisher of the Ghanaian Lens newspaper, Kobby Fiagbe, is insisting that the voice in the recording is that of Mr. Adams, but Gabby denies the accusation and said That voice doesnt sound like the Kofi Adams I know. Below is the text message from Gabby: Yes, I had several conversations with Kofi Adams over Sunyani congress. I even had a phone call from President Mills after Sunyani. But I don't recall anything in the conversations about election 2012 or Kofi Adams saying he would do anything to send Mills into opposition. I've dealt with Kofi Adams on several occasions and he has always shown loyalty to the NDC. I'm utterly shocked. That voice doesn't sound like the Kofi Adams I know" Gabby.
