At least two people have been arrested in Bimbila during an unauthorised demonstration by an NDC youth against the DCE, Mohammed Ibin Abass, for his alleged incompetence. The irate NDC youth were earlier refused authorisation by the police to embark on the demonstration this Sunday because of the current tension in Bimbila. However, the youth defied the police orders and embarked on the demonstration on Sunday morning resulting in the arrest of two of them. An eyewitness, Abdul Rahaman, who spoke to Citi News said one of the arrested youth was severely beaten with several cuts all over his body. He said there is massive police presence at the NDC party office in Bimbila to forestall any trouble in the area.
