NDC Deserves Another Term-DCE

Mr Jato Moayi Jasper, Kpandai District Chief Executive (DCE) has observed that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) deserves a second term in office, since it has delivered beyond its promises in the 2008 Party Manifesto. He said the people of Ghana could bear witness to the massive infrastructure provided across the country in sectors such as education, health, sanitation, human resource development and stability. Mr Jasper made the observation in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Tamale on Tuesday at the sideline of the handing-over ceremony of 20 trucks to 20 districts in the Northern Region by Zoomlion Ghana Limited, a leading waste management company. The DCE said the health sector in the Kpandai district had seen substantial development with the only polyclinic in the area being upgraded to a hospital while Buya, Nasande, Wia communities have been provided with clinics and Community Health Compounds. He said more than 1,500 students have been assisted to pursue their education in various tertiary institutions. Mr Jasper said more than 20 schools under tress have been replaced with classroom blocks whilst a dormitory have been provided to Kpandai Senior High School. Mr Alhassan Mumuni, East Gonja District Chief Executive for East Gonja who also spoke to the GNA said his district had for the past three years delivered on the NDC Manifesto of investing in the people, good governance and accountability. He said about 90 per cent of schools under trees have been provided with classroom accommodations. Mr Mumuni said about 60 students have been supported to study in health training schools whilst others are being assisted under the Untrained Teachers Diploma in Basic Education Programme to become professional teachers. He said the district had also rehabilitated some of the road networks with the Abrumse road being the notable one among the lot.
