The National Democratic Congress (NDC) says it is unperturbed by the choice of Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as the Vice Presidential candidate to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2012 election, because �the value is the same.� �He and Nana Addo have been beaten before and they�ll be beaten again by the same John and John ticket,� said the NDC�s National Youth Organizer, Ludwig Akpene Hlodze. He said even if Nana Addo had settled on ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor, as his running mate for the 2012 elections, the NDC would have beaten them in the elections because Ghanaians are feeling �the Better Ghana Agenda�. But with the choice of Dr. Bawumia, the NDC is going to serve the gentlemen with the 2008 dose, as they represent nothing new on the board the NPP campaign trail, for the December 2012 elections. Mr. Hlodze said this at a media interaction during a of the tour Eastern Region last Wednesday. He is presently in the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo Regions, whipping people�s enthusiasm to patronize the ongoing Biometric Registration exercise. The Mills administration, he said was going to win the election on the basis of a solid achievement which was not witnessed in the eight years of the NPP led by John Agyekum Kufuor in which Nana Akufo-Addo, served as a key Cabinet Minister. The NDC youth leader noted that despite the NPP�s claims to be a party of scholars, it did not add any universities but the three years of the NDC in government has seen two universities being put up in the Volta and Brong Ahafo regions. To him, Nana Addo and his partner, Bawumia, have no message for Ghanaians, as their eight years abysmal records in government, are there for all to see. �When the NPP was in government, it was unable to put up a single regional hospital but the three years if the Prof. John Evans Atta-Mills � John Mahama led government had seen two regional hospitals added to the stock of hospitals across the country. �My brothers and sisters, the Nana Addo-Bawumia tickets is no march for the NDC because the electorate are feeling the �Better Ghana Agenda� that was embarked on by the Atta-Mills� administration. �Hitherto, people from the Volta and Brong Ahafo Regions have to commute to the Ashanti Regional capital Kumasi, Cape Coast in the Central Region, Tamale in the Northern Region as well as Accra to access tertiary education, but now the NDC government has made it possible for the teeming youth in these two regions to access tertiary education in their own region. �These are feats the NPP could not calk in their eight years in power because they lacked the vision to do so. Prof. Mills� vision was conspicuously missing in eight years rule�, he said. Presently, parents in the various regions are feeling the essence of the free uniforms distributions agenda coupled with the strengthening of the School Feeding Programme (SFP) and free exercise books, which has taken a chunk of burden off their shoulders. He said the Nana Addo-Bawumia ticket can also attest to the fact that the worrying issue of cocaine everywhere has gone down since Prof. Mills assumed office in 2009, and wondered what Bawumia and his boss are going to tell Ghanaians that they did not know of when they were in government for eight years.
