Sidalco Lashes At GHALCA

Key sponsors of Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Sidalco Limited, have expressed gross discontent about the formers failure to acknowledge them as sponsors. Newly-elected officials of GHALCA were officially outdoored yesterday at the Media Centre of the Accra Stadium. And when they acknowledged corporate bodies that had rallied behind GHALCA, the welfare body of Premier and Divisions One and two clubs, the Alhaji Raji-led body failed to recognize Sidalco as a major stake holder. That infuriated the marketing manager of Sidalco Abu Joe Salam to draw the attention of the GHALCA officials. In fact we are not happy at all, we have supported GHALCA financially over the years, and thought acknowledging us as their key sponsors should have been the first thing to do, he said on Happy FM. It should have been the first thing for them to do because it involves cash, we sponsored the Presidents Cup, gave them 100,000 and jerseys, so they cant say it was an oversight. I drew their attention there and then for failing to acknowledge us, he added. On whether they will withdraw their financial support for GHALCA, he said, I am not the owner of the company, so I cant decide that. Meanwhile, GHALCA boss Raji has apologized profusely for the mistake.
