In an interview with DAILY GUIDE, Ms. Djaba said Nana Addo thinks and cares about the future of Ghanaian children whether they are mentally handicapped or not. Normally kids in this school are abandoned to the teachers alone and are not remembered. But Nana Addo who cares for everyone had them at heart which is why he chose to show fatherly love to the kids and to give them assurance that he loves them and will always be there for them. According to her, Nana believes that through better and quality education the nation can move forward and become one of the best countries in the world. It is the vision of Nana Addo to transform the country into a well developed and educated state, she added. The NPP womens organizer added, Nana Addo believes the country will have a brighter future if we give our children free but better education. Maame Efua Akoto, Deputy Operations Director of Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) told DAILY GUIDE that Nana Addo selected Dworwulu Special School because the students there needed special attention and fatherly love. She said Nana Addo is a man who has a heart and vision for the future leaders of the country. Nana Addo is a generous man and has fatherly love for each and everyone without any discrimination. That is why he chose to celebrate his birthday with the mentally handicapped, she added. Maame Akoto said Ghana needs a man like Nana Addo who has passion for people and vision for the country to take up the mantle and govern the nation. She said the NPP does not make empty promises but delivers on them adding Nana Addo will fulfill all the promises he has made to Ghanaians including providing free senior high school education when he becomes the president. She urged all Ghanaians above 18 years to go and register in order to vote for Nana Addo and the NPP and bring about the kind of change they have always desired but are unable to get under the Mills NDC government. The schools headmistress, Veronica Sackey expressed the childrens heartfelt gratitude to Nana Addo and the NPP for the donation. She said for a whole flag bearer to choose to celebrate his birthday with handicapped children, then it means he shows concern not only for normal people alone but for the disabled too. This shows that he does not discriminate but cares for all. Mrs. Sackey also thanked Mrs. Akufo-Addo for her tremendous support to the school over the years.
