President Mills Registers To Vote

President Mills together with the First Lady Thursday morning registered and took delivery of their biometric voter ID Cards at the Golden Gate registration centre at the Regimanuel Grey Estate in the Ledzokuku Constituency in Accra. He told newsmen after his registration that violence is not the route to leadership and that the power to select a President rests with the people. He therefore warned the public to desist from fomenting trouble. President Mills called on Ghanaians to conduct themselves peacefully to ensure a very successful registration exercise ahead of the crucial December elections because Ghana is a test case for Africa�s democracy. He said the government will continue to ensure that there is peace from now till after the elections. He said adequate security and freedom to exercise one's franchise will be given. President Mills expressed confidence in the people of Ghana to renew his mandate for another four years. He will however not be complacent but continue to work hard. He appealed to Ghanaians to guard the peace prevailing in the country.
