President John Evans Atta Mills, on Holy Sunday (yesterday), cautioned that under no circumstance should the stability of the nation be taken for granted and called on Ghanaians to take a cue from the recent political trouble in Mali with its negative repercussions. He admonished those in leadership positions not to take Ghana�s peace for granted. "We make the mistake of thinking that we have the power, we don�t have! It is only God who has the power," He said. President Mills said this at the Legon Inter- non- denominational Church (LIC) service, where he joined the congregation to observe the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. President Mills, who had been a member of the Congregation sometime ago, and worshipped with them on the last December 31st Night, described his visit as homecoming and thanked the Congregation for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage. �...my brothers and sisters in Christ a joyous occasion such as this, it is important that one goes home, this is home for me, this is where it all started and it is important that from time to time I come to get spiritual strength and God�s blessings," President Mills said in apparent reference to the birth of his spiritual strength of the road to becoming president. Accompanied by Mr Enoch Teye Mensah, Minister for Works and Housing and Mr Kobena Ade Coker, Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress, President Mills said it was an opportunity for him to be at the church once again, and acknowledged the spiritual support from the religious community in the governance process. In a sermon on the theme: �Experiencing the Power of the Resurrection� Rev Yaw Boamah, the Resident Pastor of the church, described the resurrection as the most important event in human history Rev. Boamah said it redefined history, and placed truth on mankind with the capacity to change the human experience. Prayers were said for the President, the Government, political leaders and Ghanaians.
