NPP MP Grilled By Police...Faces Treason Charges

The Police CID has invited the MP for Assin North Kennedy Agyapong over comments he made last Friday on his radio station OMAN FM. The outspoken NPP MP is being investigated by the Police CID for making some treasonable comments. The NPP firebrand who reported to the Police CID on Monday morning upon an invitation from the Police CID, was interrogated on some alleged inciting comments he made last week on his radio station Oman FM. Mr. Agyapong is reported to have stated that he would organize thugs to the Odododiodoo constituency where NPP firebrand Ursula Owusu was attacked to fight anybody who comes their way. Lawyer for the MP, Mr. Atta Akyea told XYZ News that according to the Police CID, the comments made by the NPP member are treasonable which could also incite a section of the public to cause chaos ahead of the December polls. Speaking to XYZ News, a member of the NPP communication team, Titus Glover described the interrogation as "useless and baseless". He accused the Police CID of engaging in selective justice questioning why some members of the NDC have not been invited for making similar comments. He added that the NPP would do everything possible to demand the release of Kennedy Agyapong before the close of day.
