Ken Agyapong Didn't Mean 'War' Threat- Dan Botwe

Member of Parliament (MP) for Okere, Daniel Kwaku Botwe says his fellow MP for Assin North may have been carried away by emotions leading him to make the comments that the police consider to be treasonable. Mr. Botwe who was in court on Thursday morning when Mr. Agyepong was granted bail told XYZ News, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) must be commended for coming out publicly to dissociate itself from the inflammatory statements made by the leading member of the party. Mr. Botwe says all political parties must encourage their supporters to refrain from making comments that could undermine the peace and stability of the state. If we had in this country that people of their own will condemn statements made by their members, if we had that boldness to do that in this country we wouldnt have reached this stage, because many statements have been made. I dont believe in equalization of crime and wrong doing. He said once the case is in court, Ghanaians should allow the judiciary to adjudicate on facts and situations surrounding the charges, without engaging in violent acts. According Dan Botwe, he has information that Kennedy Agyapong has three children who are Ewes; a fact which negates accusations being leveled against his pal, asking is he going to kill his own children first?
