Bawumia Counsels Politicians To Use Decent Language

The Vice Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP) Mahamadu Bawumia has called on Politicians to eschew indecent language as they mount political platforms to campaign ahead of the December polls. Dr. Bawumia said the primary focus of inter-party politics should be towards a collective good and not one to divide the country. He made the comments when he met a section of the media Wednesday night to fraternize with them. In his speech, the second time partner to the NPP flagbearer Nana AKufo-Addo appealed to the media to play their role by focusing their reportage on issues rather sentiments. I believe that we have a duty to Ghana as politicians as the media have a duty to Ghana and if we all respect our respective roles we will really enhance our collective well being of this country Dr Bawumia said. The former deputy governor of the Bank of Ghana added that the political environment is very competitive; I agree but lets do it without insults and character assassinations.
