Group Dragging Ken Agyapong To ICC Are Just "Jokers" - Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has downplayed a petition sent to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague asking it to investigate genocidal comments by embattled NPP MP for Assin North Kennedy Ohene Agyapong. The Ghana Coalition for the International Criminal Court (ICC) which petitioned the ICC on Wednesday presented its concerns to the Chief Prosecutor of the ICC in the Netherlands, Mr. Luis Moreno- Ocampo. The ICC is yet to announce if it will go ahead and address the concerns of the group. But speaking to XYZ News, the NPP General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie questioned the rationale behind the Groups action, insisting Mr. Agyapong did no wrong to warrant the attempt to humiliate him. Let me state that these persons are jokers, they just want a distraction and we are not going to be distracted Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Sir John said. He added that I believe the laws of this land are adequate to deal with all such situations and so where ever they take us to, whether they go to the moon the mans innocence will be brought to bear. Meanwhile, the legal officer of the Ghana Coalition for the International Criminal Court (ICC), Frank Kojo Arthur in an interview with XYZ News said he and others who have taken this initiative want to set a precedent to get politicians to be responsible for their actions and comments.
