THE GENERAL Overseer of Christian Faith Church (CFC), Bishop Emmanuel Botwey has told Ghanaians to forgive one another and forge ahead in peace since Christ came to this world as the Prince of Peace. He said if at this stage of Ghana�s democracy, people still chase their fellow human beings with guns and other deadly implements in the ongoing biometric voters� registration, then we have lost track of the peace Jesus Christ is preaching to the world through his death and resurrection which is celebrated during Easter. �People who go out with guns and other weapons do not have inner peace within themselves and therefore transmit that outwardly, but they should let Christ�s death and resurrection which bring inner peace into their hearts,� he added saying Christ pronounced peace on his disciples before ascending into heaven. Expounding his Easter message in an interview with DAILY GUIDE recently, Bishop Botwey pointed out that Ghanaians should desist from any act of violence and confusion and allow peace to prevail in the country. The respectable man of God said the leadership of the country and political parties should restrain their members from sparking violence or hooliganism in the name of biometric registration or general elections. He also pointed out that the security agencies should be pivots of peace and neutrality during the biometric registration exercise and the upcoming general elections stressing that if they favour one party against the others, they would be undermining the very peace they are called to protect. �All of us must be ambassadors of peace and come to the realization that God enthrones and dethrones kings so it will be useless in this election year to pitch one party against the other or strain our relations with one another. We must not lose our identity as Ghanaians living in one peaceful country,� Bishop Botwey noted. Bishop Botwey who is also Coordinator of Sekondi-Takoradi Ministers� Network said some ministers or pastors had brought the ministry into disrepute because they were either not called into ministry or refused to follow the principles of God. He called on all religious leaders and ministers of the Gospel to pray fervently to God for peace in Ghana and the sub-region and to live above reproach in the discharge of their duties.
