Two people have died in a gory accident on the new Mallam interchange when an articulated truck fell from the highest grade of the intersection unto the side of the road. Eyewitnesses say the accident occurred at about 4:30 AM on Tuesday. The truck, which was carrying boxes of key soap and sunlight soap was coming from the motorway (NI Highway) end of the interchange and heading towards the Central region. According to RadioXYZonline.com's Kobina Welsing, all attempts to free the driver from the wrecked truck proved futile. Another occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital. An eyewitness who spoke to RadioXYZonline.com said the driver, who was over speeding, lost control of his steering and fell over from the top grade to the ground dying instantly. Some residents around the vicinity who ransacked the boxes of key soap have been arrested. Meanwhile, the Police have arrived to bring some sanity to the scene.
