A Deputy Minister of Finance, Fiifi Kwetey, has said the New Patriotic Party�s (NPP) vice-presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a hypocrite. According to him, Dr. Bawumia�s mistrust of data from the Ghana Statistical Service which he once relied on is proof of his double standards. Hon. Kwetey was speaking on Citi FM�s news analysis program, Inside Politics on Friday, in reaction to a lecture delivered by the NPP running mate on Wednesday under the theme: �The State of the Economy�. He said: �Even though he [Bawumia] sought to create the impression he had no problems with the Ghana Statistical Service, what he did was to attack the credibility of that institution.� Dr. Bawumia, who was a former deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana in his address jabbed the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) for allegedly resorting to propaganda to deceive Ghanaians about the state of the economy. He has come under fire from various government officials, especially at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning and the Minister of Employment and Social Welfare, Moses Asaga.
