Pastor rush to reverse curses-At Asantehenes Chief Priests palace

The fear of being struck dead by some deities has compelled six pastors operating in the Ashanti Region to appear before the Asantehenes Nsumankwaahene (Chief Priest of the Asantehene), Baffour Asabere Kogyawoasu Ababio lll, on their own volition, to reverse various curses involved on them. These pastors took some drinks including schnapps and cash depending on the gravity of the curse to the Nsumankwaahene as consultation package before their cases were heard. Those found culpable were fined to pacify the gods. Among the deities invoked to curse the pastors, whose identities are being withheld, is the Ashanti River god, Antoa Nyamaa. As a matter of trust, I am keeping the names of the pastors concerned but they know themselves, Baffour Kogyawoasu told The Mirror at his palace at Ashanti New Town last Sunday. According to him, in all the cases the pastors had to go through the various rites including the pouring of libation to propitiate the gods. In Ashanti traditional system, the Otumfuos Nsumankwaahene is the head of all the fetish priests in Asanteman. He takes care of the spiritual development of the Asantehene and is also clothed with the power to adjudicate on all matters relating to the invocation of the curses using deities within his area of jurisdiction. The palace of the Nsumakwaahene is thus a beehive of activity especially on Tuesdays and Fridays when he sits to try cases involving curses. Barima Kogyawoasu explained that some of the pastors who appeared before him were cursed by their girlfriends. No one should doubt what I am telling you because the gods would not forgive me if I lie, he stressed. He said it was not true that pastors could reverse curses as some of them claim. I always laugh when I hear some pastors pontificating that they have powers to reverse curses, he stressed. Apart from pastors, Barima Kogyawoasu indicated that Muslims of all grades also visit his palace to reverse curses against them. He stated that much as he does not want to see people invoke curses, it is also important to stress that until crime and other wrong doings were stopped, people would want to invoke curses as a solution. What people should know is that it is God who created the deities and as such believing in them is not wrong as others see it, the chief priest emphasized.
