Veep Jabs Ken Agyapong, Apologises On His Behalf

The woes of NPP MP for the Assin North Constituency Kennedy Agyapong seem far from over although he has been granted bail. Latest to condemn and apologise on behalf of Mr. Agyapong is Vice President John Dramani Mahama who has expressed his gratitude to Gas and Ewes for their patience and tolerance towards the inflammatory comments of Mr. Agyapong. Speaking at the launch of the Ghana Urban Development Project in the Volta region on Monday, Vice President Mahama described the statements as unfortunate and thanked the people of the region adding that I wish to thank you for your patience and tolerance following the inflammatory statements that were made by a Member of Parliament. I think the statement was unfortunate and I want to congratulate you for not over reacting. I will encourage you to continue to remain patient the Ga and Ewe people- nobody as long as government remains in power would allow any of our citizens to inflict violence on another group of our citizens. Government is up to the task of maintaining law and order and what was called for was most unfortunate and I assure you it would never happen in Ghana as long as we remain in charge.
