Cudjoe Clinches Black Princesses Top Scorer Award

Elizabeth Cudjoe will pick up the Top Scorer Award in the Black Princesses division at the maiden National Player Awards. The 19-year-old is being recognized for her stellar role during Ghana�s historic feat at the 2011 All Africa Games and also for her contribution toward the team�s campaign in the World Cup qualification. Meanwhile Poria Boakye, Edem Atovor, Elizabeth Addo and Rosemary Ampem will be contesting the Most Dedicated Player in the same division while Mercy Myles, Cynthia Adobea and Janet Egyir will be gunning for the Most Outstanding Player Award. A seven-member panel chaired by ex Ghana FA boss Ben Koufie will reveal the winners of the competitive awards at a grand ceremony at the State Banquet Hall in Accra on June 22. The awards scheme, an initiative of Proton Sports Services in conjunction with the Ghana FA and the Retired Footballers Association of Ghana (RENFAG) is aimed at recognizing the contributions made by individuals who have donned the jersey of the various national teams.
