NDC Damns Latest Synovate Polls

The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has rubbished the latest Synovate poll that puts the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of President Mills if elections were held today. According to the latest polls, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will get a 44 percent lead with President Mills polling 36 percent if elections were held today. The Synovate sampling also has the NPP flagbearer leading in three out of the four swing regions, with President Mills gaining more popularity in Central region with 44%. But the Propaganda Secretary of the NDC, Richard Quashigah, says Synovate is not a credible research institution, describing it as an off-shoot of the NPP. Speaking to XYZ News, Richard Quashigah noted that even if the Synovate Survey had put the NDC in the lead, he would have described the results as a cosmetic agenda to buy credibility. Nana Akufo-Addo is not as popular as they want to portray. We have never given credence to any of the work that Synovate has done Mr Quashigah said, adding that more so we know who their paymasters are, they work closely with Gabby Otchere Darkos Danquah Institute and so what more do you expect. Meanwhile, the NPP has welcomed the results of the survey. Deputy Communications Director of the party, Perry Okudzeto said despite the polls favouring the NPP, they will not relax in their campaign. He said Ghanaians are disappointed in the current administration and would continue to let Ghanaians know that Nana Akufo-Addo is the only viable option.
