Teiman Tragedy Claims Two More Lives

After a week in coma, the two friends who along with two others shared a meal of rice and light soup with pork and Agya Appiah Bitters at Teiman near Oyarifa have died. The deceased, Boye Annang, 33, and Ayi Ayeh, 30, died on Sunday and Monday respectively at the Ridge Hospital in Accra. Confirming their death to The Finder, Adenta District Police Commander DSP Stephen Ahiatafu indicated that the first deceased passed away on Sunday at about 8:30pm while the second passed away on Monday at 5:30am. According to him, the police was yet to establish the cause of death, and added that investigations were ongoing to ascertain the exact cause of death. DSP Ahiatafu said the report on the post-mortem on the two deceased who died earlier, Mr Eric Nai Kwadae, University of Ghana Medical School senior technician, and Nii Ako Ashong, both 53, as well as examination on the leftover cooked rice and light soup with pork and the Agya Appiah Bitters were not ready. It will be recalled that Kwadae and Ashong were said to have met their untimely death after drinking Agya Appiah Bitters and eating rice and light soup with pork to celebrate Chelsea�s victory over Bayern Munich last Saturday, May 19. The two who died over the weekend watched the match with Eric Nai Kwadae and Nii Ako Ashong in the hall of the technician after they had returned from a funeral that night. Eric and Nii were chanced upon dead in the hall with Boye and Ayi lying unconscious. The two were rushed to the Ridge Hospital and admitted at the Poison Unit. They had since been in comma, but Boye died on Sunday while Ayi passed away on Monday.
