Assist Government To Deliver - Victor Smith

Eastern Regional Minister, Mr. Victor Smith has called on civil servants and the general public to assist the government to deliver on its development agenda. According to him, government has shown enough goodwill toward improving the lives of the Ghanaian populace which has over 24 million people, through infrastructure developement and social intervention programmes but require the help of all to accelerate these developments. The Minister, who was addressing Chiefs, heads of department and folks at the Upper Manyo Krobo Distict in the Eastern Region at the beginning of phace two (2) of his district tour, said, �We must all put our hands on the wheel of development to lift the country to where we all desire it�. He said government with challenges in all sectors of the economy has overcome all odds and is doing much to roll out projects that are geared toward the less privileged in society to make their lives better. According to him, when a government has the mandate from the people, it is to the benefit of the country hence whatever position one finds himself or herself, he or she must contribute to the growth of the entire country. The tour was part of his visit to some districts in the Eastern region to acquaint himself with developments in those areas as well as to have first hand information of problems confronting them. He started the tour last week, and visited the four Kwahu Districts, namely Kwahu North, Kwahu East, Kwahu West and Kwahu South.
