The second round qualifier of the 2014 FIFA World Cup between Ghana and Lesotho was halted for nearly an hour when the floodlights at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi failed to function!!! The Black Stars were leading by four(4) goals to nil when referee Diatta Badara of Senegal stopped the match due to total darkness. Following the incident, the Kenyan match commissioner Kasuve Titus Mutukku, gave Ghana an hour to restore lights at the stadium, otherwise he will call the game off. But thankfully, after nearly an hour of hold-up, the match resumed after power was restored
