It is now confirmed that 10 people lost their lives in the accident involving a cargo plane and a passenger bus that was travelling the El-Wak � Burma Camp Road in Accra Saturday. They comprise one female and nine males. A statement issued in Accra by the Press Centre of the Emergency Operating Centre (EOC) dealing with Saturday�s plane crash at the Kotoka International Airport, said the plane which was involved in the accident was a Boeing 727-200 with registration 5NBJN enroute from Lagos via Accra to Abidjan. It explained that the plane on landing overshot the runway and went through the airport perimeter fence. It then hit a Daewoo taxi cab with a lady passenger in it and ran through the passenger bus on the Giffard Road (EL Wak � Burma Camp Road). The statement said the cargo had no dangerous goods . Meanwhile it said the accident scene has been secured and cordoned off with emergency teams still at the scene and notified the general public that the road between the El Wak traffic light and the Burma Camp Shell Filling station, has been cordoned off until further notice.
