Reports reaching Peacefmonline.com say, the Member of Parliament for Wulensi in the Northern Region, Hon Saani Iddi has passed away into eternal glory.
Hon Iddi, who was a former member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), went solo in the 2008 elections and won the Wulensi seat.
One of the few independent parliamentarians in the House, the late Saani Iddi was on admission at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where he was receiving treatment for a liver disease before his untimely death.
Zakari Yusif, the Wulensi NPP Constituency Secretary confirmed the sad news to PeaceFM.
He was a former Deputy Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing.
