The New Juaben Police in the Eastern Region have arrested a 26-year-old man, Abubakar Sadik, for possessing human skulls and limbs, neatly packed in a Ghana Must Go bag, at Koforidua on Monday. The New Juaben Municipal Commander, DSP Christopher Quaicoe, briefing DAILY GUIDE about the arrest, said Abubakar Sadik, who claimed to come from Cape Coast, told the police that he got the human skulls and the other parts from the Awudome cemetery in Accra. DSP Quaicoe noted that Sadik claimed he was going to use the human parts including three skulls in his music and movie video clips he was going to come out with. Abubakar Sadik told the police that he was an actor and a hiplife artiste. DSP Quaicoe said Abubakar Sadik was arrested by security men at the Oteng House in Koforidua where he had gone to keep the bag containing the human parts. The police commander said at about 9pm on Monday, Abubakar Sadik went to the building to retrieve the bag and when he got to the main entrance, the security men at the entrance insisted on seeing what was in the bag. When they searched the bag, they found the human parts neatly packed in it. They therefore arrested him and handed him over to the Koforidua police. The commander added that the suspect would be arraigned today on provisional charges of exhumation of human parts as well as disinterment, for him to be remanded to allow the police to conduct further investigations.
