FIFA To Rule On Zambian Police Attack On Black Stars

President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwasi Nyantakyi, says his outfit has lodged an official complain to FIFA over the manhandling of some Black Stars players in Zambia last Saturday. Midfielder, Derek Boateng, and striker, Ben Acheampong, were brutally assaulted by the Zambian Police after the World Cup qualifier between Ghana and Zambia which the latter won by a goal to nil. Ghana and Zambia are two strong soccer countries who have enjoyed a healthy relationship until Saturdays incident. Mr. Nyantakyi described the assault as unfortunate. He said the Zambian police bundled the Ghanaian lads away from the referee, when all they sought to do was to complain about what they felt was poor officiating against them.
