Exhumed Body Of Chief Imam Reburied

The body of the Chief Imam exhumed in Hohoe has been reburied. The remains of Alhaji Alhassan was laid to rest in front of the Hohoe Central Mosque by members of the Zongo community. The exhumation sparked violence in the Hohoe Municipality on Monday. Two people were killed and several others injured as a result. A dusk to dawn curfew has been imposed on the town. Ridwan Merigu, the spokesperson for the Zongo Community told Citi News the Zongo Community is still in a state of mourning adding that �we have set aside a day for mourning and that day would announced to the public later on.� He added that business activities have still not returned to normal in the Zongo Community.
