Manchester City�s defender Kolo Toure got married to long-time fianc�e and mother of his two children Chim�ne Akassou on Thursday in the Ivory Coast commercial capital Abidjan, in a ceremony that attracted distinguished personalities from the world of politics and sports.
The wedding took place at a mosque and will continue on Saturday where the couple will sign their marriage documents at a registry.
A grand reception is set for the weekend, with most of the Ivory Coast national team players set to attend.
Kolo�s brother and club mate and African Footballer of the Year Yaya Toure was the best man.
The newly weds have been living together in England since 2003, a year after the Ivory Coast international defender moved from his youth club Asec Mimosas to Arsenal.
