David Addy Calm Over Ghana Snub

Defender David Addy insists he is not worried by the national team snub despite seeing regular first team action with his club. The 22-year-old has been sidelined from the Black Stars despite making 25 first team appearances and scoring two goals from the left-back position for his club Panetolikos where he has been on loan from Porto. His solid performance for his Greek side has earned him an immediate recall to his mother club but has unfortunately not translated into his national team fortunes. He however says he is not loosing his head over the Black Stars snub since it is one of the other things he aims to achieve in his career. The national team is not my only aim, I have a lot of aims so I will keep working on my club form and hopefully the(Black Stars) call up will come, he told GHANAsoccernet.com. I had a really good season so I will concentrate on keeping my level to ensure I dont go down and if the new coach calls me (Akwasi Appiah) I will come and prove myself. Addy was a key member of the Ghana U-20 team that historically won Africas first World Cup three years ago in Egypt.
