An 18-year-old girl, Joyce Amuzu, is reported to have committed suicide at Mepom, Asamankese in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The victim was found hanging in her room between the hours of 9 and 11am on Tuesday. The District Police Commander, DSP Yaya Munturaro, told Citi News the case is under investigation. This incident brings the number of reported cases of suicide to five over the last few weeks. Meanwhile, the guardian of the deceased, Rose Helevi, said Amuzu never discussed any problem with her prior to her death. �Everything was fine until a friend of hers found her hanged in her room this morning,� she stated. The body has since been deposited at the Asamankese Government.
