As we know in very recently, some of our young people like, Sarkodie has won an international award. We have seen also our players and sportsmen at the highest level in the world; Kwadwo Asamoah even just got transferred to Juventus. We have the Essiens and the Muntaris and many others who are doing well out there but we want to build Champions in Ghana who would be able to compete globally, not just in sports or music but in business, architecture, agriculture, medicine and so on. He added, We want local Ghanaian champions that would give us that competitive global edge and this really is why Nana Akufo-Addo is focusing so much on the message of education because that really becomes the channel through which we are going to build the skill base that Ghana needs to compete globally. He stated that the message was also on jobs for the youth since it was through jobs that the hopes and aspirations of the youth could aptly be satisfied and through which the Ghanaian people would be able to put to productive use their talents and skills.
