NPP Extend Condolence To NDC, Suspends All Activities

The National Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jake Obetsebi Lamptey has extended condolence to the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), the family of President Mills and all Ghanaians for the sudden death of the Republic of Ghana, President John Evans Atta Mills. Jake also extended condolence to all Ghanaians and members of the NDC on behalf the NPP, urging all Ghanaians to remember the family of the late President in prayers. Speaking in an interview on TV3, Jake sad �In this sad news, we join all Ghanaians in mourning the passing of our President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills. We extend to his wife and family our deepest condolence and we also extend our condolence to the NDC. He revealed that as a mark of respect, the NPP has suspended all activities including the 20th anniversary celebration of the party. He added that Nana Akufo Addo has also suspended his ongoing campaign in the Western region and canceled a Press Conference he was scheduled to hold in Takoradi tomorrow. �As a mark of respect the NPP has suspended all the activities, the celebration of our 20th anniversary and indeed our presidential candidate who has been campaigning in the Western region has also cancelled his ongoing campaign including the Press Conference he is supposed to hold in Takoradi tomorrow,� he said. Mr. Obetsebi Lamptey urged �all Ghanaians to join in prayers for our late president that he may rest in peace�. He however refused to comment on how he would describe President Mills saying, �Right now I am not going to go into the strings of that, how I just want to focus on the death and helping my people to deal with the death�.
