GFA Postpones Division One League Play-offs Due To Mills� Burial

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has postponed the start date for the Division One League play-offs. The football governing body said promotion league for the three zones of four teams each will commence on Wednesday, August 15 and not August 12, 2012. �The Division One League Board wishes to inform all Clubs participating in the 2011-2012 Zonal Middle League that, due to the funeral of the late President H. E. Prof. Evans Atta Mills, the Zonal Middle League originally scheduled to commence on 12th August, 2012 would now be played on Wednesday 15th August, Sunday 19th and Wednesday, 22nd August, 2012,� the GFA said on its official website. The late president will be buried on August 10, 2012. He has been eulogized by several football personalities including Caf president Issa Hayatou and Fifa boss Sepp Blatter.
