The General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as �Sir John� has described the late president Mills as a religious and courageous man who left a lot of lessons in the political realm.
The remains of the late president Mills will be laid in state on the 8th and 9th of August with the burial on the 10th of August.
Speaking on Gold Power Drive on Wednesday, Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie noted that �we have learnt a lot of lessons from his death and hope it will be guided by his exemplary life�. We should begin to reflect on certain words that we used on him when he was alive�.
He also intimated that �I wish that we will use this occasion to talk of politics of issues instead of politics of insult in order to give Ghana a better name�.
He further acknowledged that the late president Mills was a fine gentleman and an intellectual lecturer and a politician adding that �we use to say that if Mills teaches you and you don�t get an �A� then, there is indeed something wrong with you�.
Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie further said �we must think of something befitting to name after him because he has contributed a lot to this nation�.
