Ghanaians Laud Zoomlion

The leading waste management company in the country, Zoomlion has been applauded by Ghanaians and other foreign nationals for maintaining sanity at the independence square during the final burial of the late President John Evans Atta Mills. The company gave another excellent account of themselves when they swiftly managed the waste which had been generated as a result of the funeral rites of the late President, Professor John Evans Attah Mills which came off from August 8 � 10, 2012. The team of 850 workers of the company who were deplored to various areas of the funeral and burial service of the late President were spotted picking plastic and any other form of waste at the funeral grounds to ensure that the place was kept tidy and clean. One lady who gave her name as Esi Taylor told a cross section of the media that they arrived at the Independence square at about 6:00 A.M on Wednesday last week to prepare towards the funeral by clearing weeds, sweeping, spraying and painting the Square and aftermath also cleaned the area. Ceremonial streets from the airport to the State House, Castle and the Independence Square were decorated with black and red clothes and the concrete lining the pavements were also painted white. The latest show of competence and the company�s ability to rise to the occasion adds up to the many effective and efficient delivery of service by the company during events such as the Ghana at 50 celebrations, Independence Day Celebration and the football tournaments amongst big clubs. Mr. Robert Coleman Head of Domestic Waste explained that Zoomlion is familiar with the sanitation and waste terrain and knows how to deplore its men to give an excellent service. According to him, this is not the first time Zoomlion has been called to handle the waste of big events and that it is a matter of planning. According to him supervisory role by the supervisors and the motivation which has characterized the operations of the company resulted in the excellent delivery of service. He hinted that the company also provided over 700 mobile toilets and over 500 waste bins and the need to disinfect the area of flies. Mr. Coleman in his remembrance to the late President recalled on how the company (Zoomlion) took charge and cleaned the filth that had gathered in gutters and drains and behind the seat of the Presidency during his tenure of office.
