I Extended My Contract With Asante Kotoko Because I Want To Win More - Gideon Baah

Asante Kotoko defender Gideon Baah has told Goal.com Ghana he opted to extend his contract with the reigning Ghana champions because he wants to win more laurels with the club. Earlier reports indicated that Baah was set to join a club in Europe fuelling speculation he was set to abandon the Porcupine Warriors. But the former Sporting Mirren captain has committed his future with the Kumasi-based club for two more years and he will be pocketing a whopping GhC 200,000 (US$ 103,225). Speaking to Goal.com Ghana, the 22-year-old said his love for Kotoko and his ambition to win more laurels were the reasons why he extended his contract with them. I love this club, it was not a difficult thing for me at all when they offered me the contract, they have helped me a lot and I could not turn my back on them, I want to win more with Kotoko and that was the reason [why] I extended my contract, Baah said. The player who was exception in the later stage of the last season after coming back from a horrible injury will be given a stiff competition next season after Asante Kotoko signed Ivorian Benjamin Adamah.
