Africa World Airline to start operations in September

The domestic airline industry will see its 5th member Africa World Airline officially begin its operations on September 21. The new airline announced in a statement on Monday that it will receive its first aircraft this Friday in preparations towards the commencement of business next month. According to the founder of the Africa World Airline, Togbe Afede XIV, the launch of the airlines operations will see its first flight from Accra to Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale. The companys introduction into the rapidly growing domestic airline industry is expected to further deepen the competition and most importantly drive down air fares. We have chosen this particular day for our first flight to commemorate the 103rd anniversary of the birth of our first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, who was born on September 21, 1909 , Togbe Afede said.
