Im Not Bribable Flagbearer

The presidential candidate of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP), Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, says Ghana needs an incorruptible and transformational leadership to manage the economy. Dr Nduom claimed that since he was not venal, he would ensure that people who served in his government followed in his footstep to provide quality and exemplary leadership to transform the nation. He therefore urged the electorate to vote him as their next president to help bring hope to the people and also transform the lives of the many Ghanaians disappointed in the way the economy was being managed. The PPP flag bearer was speaking on the Sunyani-based Storm Fm on Monday morning during a campaign tour of the Brong Ahafo region. He was expected to interact with some identifiable groups in the region. Dr Nduom said he stood tall among all the presidential candidates contesting the 2012 elections since no one could fault him in any facet of his private and public life. He noted that character as well as ones professional life mattered in the race to the presidency, adding that anyone who aspired to lead the nation should not be of a questionable character. You cannot bribe me. Im the one who can bring quality leadership to the presidency, the PPP leader stated. Dr Nduom said he was the man behind the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS), a public sector salary reform, while he was the Minister for Public Sector Reforms in the erstwhile Kufuor government. He also masterminded Ghanas qualification for the Millennium Challenge Account where the US government released over $500m to the government of Ghana for various development projects. The PPP presidential hopeful hinted that he would constitute an all-inclusive government by engaging all qualified hands across the political divide to revamp the economy when given the nod. He appealed to Ghanaians to try the PPP because the party had the best human face policies that would ensure a rapid development in all corners of the country.
