Kampala City Council FC Confirm Sale of Joseph Ochaya to Asante Kotoko

The Sporting Director of Uganda top flight side Kampala City Council FC Ahmed Kabuye has confirmed there has been an agreement between his side and Asante Kotoko on the transfer of highly rated defender Joseph Ochaya. The 19-year-old caught the eyes of the Porcupine Warriors scouts when the Black Satellites played the Hippos of Uganda in the African Youth Championship qualifier this month. The arrangement has already been done between KCC and Ashanti Kotoko and what is remaining now are some small paper works we need to do here in Uganda so the deal is almost done," Mr. Kabuye told Storm FM. He added: In Ochaya, I can say Kotoko has signed a very talented player and we had always rated him among the top guys in Uganda so I was not surprised when Kotoko spotted him. We expect him to officially join Kotoko in two weeks time because he is on national team duty now and would be released by them so he can make that trip to Ghana. The Kumasi-based club won the Ghana Premier League for the 22nd time last season and have made several marquee signing to bolster the squad for their Caf Champions League campaign.
