Technicians Take Over Tamale Hospital Pharmacies

Pharmacist technicians at the Tamale Teaching Hospital have taken over all pharmacies to dispense drugs to patients. This follows the nationwide strike by pharmacists in all government hospitals over delays with their migration onto the on the Single Spine Salary Structure. The pharmacists had earlier locked up all the shops but management at the Tamale Hospital broke the locks to be able to provide services to patients. Public Relations Officer of the hospital, Gabriel Nii Otu Ankrah told XYZ NEWS that healthcare delivery at the facility is going on smoothly. He said the technicians thought it was unfair for the Pharmacists to go on strike at such a time and that management had to open the pharmacies for its clients. He also stated the striking pharmacists locked the facility but the management of the hospital had to open them to allow work to resume.
